Roberts 43 Mauritius Steel Ketch has sailed to Hawaii and back, and explored
the U.S. West Coast all the way to Mexico. A heavily built vessel with
a sturdy steel hull and a Yanmar 50 hp diesel, it fell over in the dry
storage yard during the September hurricane. The mizzen mast broke off,
and one spreader on the main mast was damaged. There was no damage to
the hull other than some scrapes to the paint. The seller, an elderly
gentleman, has some serious health problems and cannot undertake the repairs
on the vessel he so skillfully crafted and sailed for nearly 20 years.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to restore this boat, as
it will most likely be worth considerably more than the purchase and repairs
