his Islander 28 Sloop sailed south from California in the early 1990's and has been enjoying the Sea of Cortez cruising scene ever since. Currently in dry storage in La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico, the boat is equipped for comfortable cruising with roller furling, a watermaker and refrigeration. Built in 1978, this vessel is perfect for economical cruising in comfort. Electronics include two autopilots, a depthsounder, GPS, HAM/SSB and TV. Two solar panels and a high-output alternator handle the boat's electrical needs. This vessel is well-proven with voyages as far south as Mazatlan and Zihuatenejo under her keel. She's also outfitted with good ground tackle and a hard-bottom inflatable with 8 HP Tohatsu outboard.
