Double diagonal planking, 1/2 x 2 inch, vertical grain kiln dried douglas
fir. Fastened with resourcinal glue and silicon bronze anchor fast nails,
frames 2 x 2 inch laminated douglas fir on 12 inch centers. Vessel was
constructed upside down to obtain monolithic interlocking construction,
interior of hulls drenched with fungacide. Laminated 8 inch keel. All
exteriors covered with two layers of 6 oz fiberglass, four layers below
the waterline; decks are two layers of 3/4 inch fir. This gives a very
strong construction. The interlocking construction method was tested using
a section 1 x 2 ft, which broke under three point loading with a load
of 5700 lbs.
Decks: two layers of plywood on 2 x 2 frames on 12 inch centers. Safety
rails around complete deck area, nonskid strips on all flat surfaces of

two heavy cheek blocks on main for this use. Tangs are through bolted
with welded spacers to prevent collapse of mast section, all fittings

was done by a professional welder by the heli-arc method.

stayed, there are two headstays for the staysail and two stays for the
clubfooted jib, chainplates are 1/2 x 2 inch stainless steel flat stock
