his Anacapa 42, built in 1974 by Challenger Yachts, is one of the best outfitted cruising sailboats we've seen. With practicality and safety in mind, all systems have been renewed since 1996 by the owner, a professional mariner for 30 years. It's truly turn-key down to the stainless steel cookware and laptop computer.

A center cockpit sloop, this vessel has a roomy aft cabin with a new king-plus mattress, a large foreward cabin, a main salon with an interior steering station, an extensive inventory of recent electronics, sails new in 1999, roller furling on the headsail, a hydraulic windlass, solar panels, wind generator, an offshore life raft and a new hard bottom inflatable dinghy with outboard.
